COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the current state of the world and in the interest of safety all discussions and plans for 2020 events have been scrapped. I am continuing to monitor both locally and globally the current situation and global progress. The team I partner with will continue to scout new locations for events for 2021. From August 2017 to November 2019, as the Special Activities Coordinator for The Historic Market Square, I created special events and activities for the citizens of The City of San Antonio and our various tourists that visit from around the world.
Through the hard work and collaboration we built on the Plaza of the Historic Market Square, Univision Network, based out of Miami, Florida, selected to showcase Market Square and The City of San Antonio for the following shows:
- Despierta America (Feb 13 - 15, 2019)
- La Gran Fiesta, El Grito! (Sept 16, 2019; filmed August 15 - 16, 2019)
- Telethon (filmed August 15 - 16, 2019)
- Cronicas (Sept 2019; filmed August 15 - 16, 2019)
- Feliz 2020 (Dec 31, 2019 - Jan 1, 2020; filmed August 15 - 16, 2019)
In an effort to further my career in event management and entertainment booking, I resigned from The Historic Market Square in November 2019.
The following are a few of my pictures from the Univision filming and several events and bookings at the Historic Market Square.
Over my 2 years at Market Square I managed 70 weekly events that had approximately 2,500 to 3,500 over the two day event and managed 22 large events that had approximately 4,000 to 11,000 visitors for the duration of the multi-day event and based on the time of year.
I currently work with a select client list who helped achieve these amazing result in the two years I was at The Historic Market Square but I look forward to developing new partnerships throughout 2020 and for the years to follow.
